The Internet Auction Catalogue for the 2007 Silent Auction is now closed.

Internet Auction Instructions
1) Over 300 wonderful items will be on this year's RIS Silent Auction. Auction items are arranged by category. You may click on the category of your choice to go to a listing of the items. Additional items will be added regularly, so check back here often to see new listings.
2) Category Listings: By clicking on the category you will see a list of all the items currently listed in that category. You can scroll down to see a description and picture of each item listed in that category. Each item has its own information with one or more images, a description, the item donor and at times an additional link to tell you more about the item or donor.
3) Internet Bidding Information on each item:
A) MARKET VALUE: This is the value placed on the item by the retailer or auction item donor.
B) PlACING A BID:
The Opening or Minimum Bid that will be accepted is clearly stated on the Item description page as the staring bid. This is normally sixty percent of the retail value. You may place an opening bid on any item that does not currently have and opening bid.
Place a Higher Bid by entering a higher amount then the current bid price listed by the minimum increment required.
Bids were accepted only until 12:00 midnight (CDT)- Saturday, July 21st.
C) BUY-IT -NOW BID
Many items will show a BUY-IT -NOW Bid price. This is normally 150% of the retail value.
If you really want an item, or you really want to help support Rein in Sarcoma (your donation over 100% of retail value is considered a tax deductible contribution to RIS-the tax deductible amount is indicted with each BUY-IT -NOW listing ), you can place a bid at or higher then the BUY-IT -NOW Bid listed and the item is yours, Now !
There is no need to wait for others to out bid you or to have to wait for the results of the actual silent auction on July 23rd to see if you have won! Remember, generally all of the amount you bid that is over the full market value listed is considered a fully tax deductible contribution to Rein In Sarcoma.
4) Bidding on an item: - You will find it easy
and fun to place a bid on the item(s) of your choice. All you do is:
A) Click on the link below each biddable item after you have noted the particular auction item number and title.
B) Place a bid on the RIS 2007 Bid Form by
- Placing an Opening Bid - Be the first to submit the highest opening bid, that is at least the minimum amount required for that item, and it will serve as the opening bid at the live silent auction.
or
Placing a Higher Bid by entering a higher amount then the current bid price listed by the minimum increment required.
or
- Place a Proxy Bid (designed especially for those who cannot attend the July 23rd auction) - This is the highest amount you are willing to pay for this item. Your proxy bid will be placed for you at the end of the auction (approximately 8:00 pm CDT on July 23rd). If it is the highest bid, you win and you will be notified and instructed how to pay for winning bid.
or
- Buy-it-Now! - Many of the items listed include a buy-it-now price. If you are willing to place a bid at or above the Buy-it-Now price (normally about 150% of market value) the item is yours, now! Note: any payment above the market value of the item is consider a tax deductible donation to the Karen Wyckoff Rein in Sarcoma Fund.We will send notification of a successful buy-it-now bid within two days.
5) Fill in the information requested. Complete the bid my clicking on submit bid. That's all there is!
Important Notes:
Shipping - If the item you win is shipped to you, you will be charge the actual
shipping and handling costs of sending the item in addition to your
winning bid. Note, some items are too large or two fragile to ship.
In this case we will work with you to pick up the item in the Twin Cities
of Minneapolis-St. Paul.
Paying for your winning bid - If your Internet Bid is the highest at the close of the live auction, you will be notified by phone or e-mail. You would then pay for the item by check or credit card.
