Race for Grace raises $21,500 and counting to create "Hope today to cure tomorrow"

Race for Grace-2011August 6th the 3rd annual Race for Grace took place under sunny skies at Eastview High School.  The Race for Grace was created in 2009 by Aubree Tsurusaki and a "committee" of classmates to honor their friend Grace Nelson who was undergoing treatment for Rhabdomyosarcoma.  The amazing group of girls were just fourteen at the time and with three years of work and dedication to searching for a cure for sarcoma they have raised almost $80,000. Our 2011 Photographers did an outstanding job of covering our 11th Rein in Sarcoma Party. Our thanks to Mike and Kelly Klarich of M & K Photography who donated their professional time and talent to covering the event and to Ron and Ingred Eggert who are veteran RIS leaders and accomplished photographers.  Over 200 images are in this year's slideshow from over 500 images taken at the event.  See them all at RIS functions throughout the coming year. Under glorious skies, and our largest attendance ever, our 11th Rein in Sarcoma "Party in the Park" was a huge success!  It was a time of celebration, reflection, remembering, hoping, and just plain fun. The "Party" once again encompassed the entire mission of the Rein in Sarcoma to support, educate, and fund cures for sarcoma cancers.  Celebrating our 10th year as an organization the July 25th Party included something special for all the 1,500+ people who attended.
