Though Sarcomas are rare, you are not alone in your battle against the disease. The Karen Wyckoff Rein in Sarcoma Foundation provides news, resources, and a way to connect to others with the disease. Since our inception in 2001, Rein In Sarcoma has had the opportunity to serve many individuals who, like you, have waged a personal war against this disease. Over 1,200 people from at least eight states gathered together at Como Park on July 26th to make the 10th "Party in the Park" our best ever. Over the course of just five hours the entire mission of Rein in Sarcoma was on glorious display.

Several new items at the Sunflower Shoppe at RIS 2010 on July 26th will feature the beauty of "The Lemon Queen," by acclaimed photographer and cancer survivor Greg Murphy. Items featuring this photo include commemorative T-Shirts in three colors (kiwi, butter yellow and chestnut brown), commemorative posters (both framed and unframed), coffee mugs and laminated bookmarks. Second Annual Race For Grace- August 7th - Great Success!

The second annual Race for Grace, "Love and Hope Go Hand in Hand" was held on Saturday, August 7th at the Johnny Cake Ridge Park (East side) in Apple Valley, MN. The Race featured a 1 Mile walk/run and a 5K walk/run. Run on a soggy morning, the rain did not dampen the spirits of the hundreds of runner who participated and raised over $25,000 for Rein in Sarcoma!

In  February 2010, the KWRISF Board approved over $150,000 in new research and educational grants. This was the largest grant round on the Foundation's History. Read more...
