The 2006 RIS Event
Rein in Sarcoma 2006- raised over $50,000!

What started with a cloudburst ended with a bright wonderful evening at Rein in Sarcoma 2006. Over 600 people from five states joined in the magical event held on Monday, July 24. Over 300 attended the RIS survivors and loved ones picnic sponsored by American Family Insurance. Non stop entertainment ran from six until nine and our very successful silent auction featured over 300 items and made over $15,000! Altogether RIS 2006 in 2006 raised over $70,000 to benefit the Karen Wyckoff Rein in Sarcoma Fund. To date over $230,000 has been raised for sarcoma research at the University of Minnesota Cancer Center and support of sarcoma patients.

Rein in Sarcoma 2006 included:: Unlimited rides on the Cafesjian's Carousel; Exclusive tours of the newly expanded and enhanced Como Park Conservatory: The Rein In Sarcoma Boulevard; Continuous music and entertainment for people of all ages: A Sarcoma Information corner with University of Minnesota doctors on hand to answer questions,and a huge silent auction!

Ross Sutter in Concert

Ross Sutter has built his reputation with fresh interpretations of the old Irish and Scottish ballads and with his unique collection of children's songs. Ross has toured Europe several times, most recently in the spring of 1998. He has performed on radio, television and at festivals all over the Midwest and works regularly in schools teaching the songs and folk dances that he has collected over the years.
