Travel Assistance

While there are many excellent sarcoma resources in the upper midwest, some may have the need to seek assistance at other major sarcoma centers around the country. The resources below provide low cost and sometimes no-coast travel assistance to these centers. In addition some of our allied organizations provide low-cost or no-cast accomodations for sarcoma patients and family members. To learn about these housing resources go to the cancer organizations section of this website.

  • Air Care Alliance - Free Air Transportation For Cancer Patients ( USA) an association of humanitarian flying organizations founded in 1990.
  • Corporate Angel Network ( USA) Non-profit organization that provides free air transportation to and from recognized US cancer hospitals without regard to their financial resources. The network has helped over 10,000 patients since 1981.
  • Deamline Dreamline is a charity providing free airline travel for children coping with serious illness (particularly cancer and brain tumors). Donated frequent flyer awards mileage are used to provide vacations and emergency travel.
  • Dreamflight ( UK) a registered charity founded in 1986 with the purpose of sending seriously ill children on their 'holiday of a lifetime'. Volunteers are involved in fund-raising and collect donated "Air Miles".
  • KidsWish Foundation ( USA) grants wishes to children with life threatening medical conditions.
  • Make a Wish Organisation A non-profit organization which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses. It has 80 chapters across the USA and 22 international affiliates on 5 continents.
  • Starbright Foundation a non-profit organization which aims to empower seriously ill children to combat the medical and emotional challenges they face. A collaboration of pediatric medicine, entertainment and technology producing videos / CD-ROMS - free to sick kids.
