Rein in Sarcoma totally relies on great volunteers (you!) for our success. Here are some current volunteer opportunities for which we have a special need.

RIS Year-end Stuffing Party – Sunday, Nov 20th

Join us for a fun evening to get stuff and get out the annual RIS year-end mailing.  Join us at 6:30 pm for great pizza and salad and then “party” with us as we prepare the year-end mailing. Great opportunity to socialize and meet other RIS volunteers as well as do some important work. Wyckoff’s in Shoreview. Click for more info.

Finance Committee Volunteer

Rein in Sarcoma’s finance committee has primary responsibility for oversight on the capital structure and financial activities. The committee members will maintain a regular review of financial activities and provide guidance when necessary. Committee will develop an investment strategy when necessary and ensure the preparation of the annual audit, tax form (990), and audited Financial Statements.
Time Commitment: Approx. 5 hours a month

Red Flags Committee Volunteers

The Rein in Sarcoma Red Flags Committee is looking for volunteers who can help get the word out and educate the public about sarcoma cancers. This will include passing out literature and talking to people about sarcoma cancers. Volunteers for the Red Flags Committee will attend events and meetings throughout the year.

Patient and Family Support Committee Volunteers

Rein in Sarcoma is looking for volunteers to join our Patient and Family Support Committee. This committee supports those affected by sarcoma including patients, survivors and their loved ones. This committee plans social gatherings throughout the year for those affected by sarcoma and puts together gift bags for patients. This committee also offers free peer-to-peer mentoring for those affected by sarcoma.
