Announcing New RIS Tribute and Memorial Named Funds
RIS is delighted to announce that three new Tribute and Memorial Named Funds will be joining our eight existing Funds. The Funds to be established are the Brett Dale Fund, the Kaitlyn Jurek Fund and the Jackie Middleton Fund.
These funds along with the eight existing funds are a very important part of our work to support patients, fund research and foster education. All eleven RIS Tribute and Memorial Named Funds will be recognized and honored during the closing ceremony at our July 25th “Party in the Park”. Read more…
RIS Named Funds have been created to honor the lives of specific sarcoma patients though Tribute or Memorial Gifts. Named funds are encouraged not only to honor individuals but to enhance the mission of Rein In Sarcoma to:
- Find cures for sarcoma cancers,
- Support patients and their families and to
- Educate the public and medical professionals about sarcoma cancers.
These three new Funds will join the current active RIS named Funds which pay tribute to both sarcoma survivors as well as those who have lost their sarcoma battle. Existing active RIS Named Funds are: Julian Baultrippe, William Clemens, Christian Garcia- Pulse, Barbara Kimker, Beverly Osterman, Race for Grace, Eric Skogman and the Elinda Bates Wing Fund.
All eleven of these Funds are also being given the opportunity to “sponsor” particular parts of this year’s “Party in the Park” such as the Entertainment stage, Sarcoma Corner, The Sarcoma Garden of Hope and Children’s Arcade.
While the Foundation is appreciative of gifts of any size, all who are able are invited to establish a KWRISF Named Fund. All new Funds established by July 1st will be given special recognition during the Closing Ceremony. For further information on establishing a RIS Named Fund, click here.
