Description: Own a piece of design history while bidding on a once in a lifetime item. The GCP was begun in 1991 by South Minneapolis natives and artists, Joel Sisson and Chris Hand who used the energy of 14 at risk youth to build 90 green Adirondack chairs which were then delivered before dawn to residents along  Pleasant Avenue. Teaching kids about the positives that come from being productive, allowing them to discover their talents and putting kids to work were the goals of Chris and Joel. Since 1991, chairs have been installed throughout the nation as public art, even on the grounds of the Washington Monument. No longer being made, this is one of 12 remaining chairs from the artists private collection which has been signed for you.
