Fall Gathering Thoughts - "You Face Sarcoma"

On a rainy October Sunday, the Oakwood room of the Clifton French Regional park was a warm and nurturing place to be. About 40 sarcoma survivors, loved ones and those who had lost someone to sarcoma came together in community to enjoy fall food, the versatile music, autumn crafts for the kids, and a discussion of the various stages of a sarcoma journey.  The discussion was led by Sarcoma survivor Christin Garcia.  Everyone in attendance felt comfortable sharing their unique yet common experiences as they battled sarcoma.  Read more....

Christin made notes during the discussion and has written them up to share with those who were able to be there and those who were not.  Christin has compiled these notes in the following article entitled "You Face Sarcoma".  We also have compiled a slide show of pictures from the event.  We will have another "Gathering" this winter.  The time and place will be announced soon after the first of the year.
