In the largest RIS Gathering to date, over 60 sarcoma patients, survivors and their love ones gathered at the Roseville Skating Center for a wonderful opportunity to meet and learn from others who are facing sarcomas.
On Sunday, February 8, Minnesota sunshine actually paired with warmth. And families touched by sarcoma came together in a growing community that brings light to what can seem a lonely journey. Thank you to Dunquin for the lovely notes, to those who helped arrange the day, and to all who joined us. We reconnected with old friends and were inspired by fresh faces. We hope to meet you again soon, no matter what stage you are in on this crazy cancer journey. It was a rare opportunity to both gain and provide support to others. RIS Gatherings are a celebration of life and support.
The Rein in Sarcoma Gathering V also provided information about the new of RIS activities including details of $121,000 in new research grants from RIS to the University of Minnesota Cancer Center. The Gatherings are free to sarcoma patients, survivors and their immediate families.
