RIS Joins Forces with GiveMN.org

GiveMN.org is an innovative online resource that will change the way Minnesotans give and help create a stronger nonprofit community for Minnesota. Minnesota has long been a leader in philanthropy and civic innovation, and we believe that through GiveMN.org it is again poised to revolutionize e-philanthropy.

At present 100% of all donations given to Rein in Sarcoma through directly benefits our mission. Donations normally given to any organization on-line incur a 3 to 5% processing fee paid for by the the non-profit to cover the cost of credit card transaction. Because of the support of several key Minnesota foundations including the Minnesota Community Foundation and the Minneapolis Foundation all these normal cost of doing business are covered allowing 100% of your donation to Rein in Sarcoma or other participating Minnesota charities. You do not need to be a resident of Minnesota to receive this benefit.  To donate to Rein in Sarcoma through GiveMN.org go the RIS page on their website and click on the donate button.

Give to the Max Day, Tuesday, November 17th was an overwhelming success. Over 45,000 people made donations to of over $14 million to hundreds of Minnesota Charities.  Its goal was to raise as much money as possible for Minnesota charities in 24 hours including Rein in Sarcoma. The Saint Paul Foundation, Minneapolis Foundation and Bush Foundation have committed $500,000 in matching contributions to support community needs in Minnesota and to cover transaction fees so that 100% of all donations go to the nonprofit organizations. 

RIS received over $1,400 in donations on Give to the Max Day making it our largest single on-line donation day. Because of the overwhelming response to on Give to the Max Day all donations to participating Minnesota Charities, including RIS received a 4% match.
