Official Closing Event of 2010 International Sarcoma Awareness week

Rein in Sarcoma 2010 on Monday evening. July 26th will again actively participate as an official clsoing event of International Sarcoma Awareness week.  The first ride of the evening on Como Park’s renowned Cafesjian’s Carousel for 10th annual Rein in Sarcoma celebration will be reserved exclusively for sarcoma patients and survivors.    

Wearing the "Sarcoma knows no Borders" wrist bands, 68 sarcoma patients and survivors will both ride in circles and ride in solidarity with 15,000+ people participating across the world in International Sarcoma Awareness week events.  Riding in front of hundreds of cheering loved ones and supporters from throughout the upper Midwest, these riders will help raise awareness of sarcoma cancers that affects hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.  Over 60 events in 9 countries are expected to participate in this year's International Sarcoma Awareness week (July 18-26) activities.

The Rein In Sarcoma (RIS) Inaugural Ride is sponsored again this year by Fairview Health System including the University of Minnesota Medical Center- Fairview and the Univeriversity of Minnesota Physicans.  

The 10th Annual Rein in Sarcoma event is the primary fundraising event of the Karen Wyckoff Rein in Sarcoma Foundation the primary sarcoma foundation in the Upper Midwest.  The event will be held at Como Park in St. Paul, Minnesota. Over 1,000 people from over five states are expected to participate for a “Party in the Park” a celebration of for the entire family. Rein in Sarcoma includes, continuous entertainment, a massive silent auction, children’s activities, the Sarcoma Garden of Hope, Sarcoma Corner, a closing luminary ceremony, and of course free carousel rides on the Cafesjian’s Carrousel for all attending.

Sarcoma patients and survivors wanting to participate in this ride can get Carousel Inaugural Ride Tickets at thewww.reininsarcoma.org/content/rein-sarcoma-picnic-information RIS 2010 Sarcoma Family picnic which precedes RIS 2010 starting at 4:30 p.m.  Inaugural Ride Tickets will also be available for Sarcoma patients and survivors at the general RIS registration table starting at 5:30 pm.
