Cancer Support Groups & Information. To find to sarcoma related mailing lists, type “sarcoma” next to mailing list searches. At the time of this publication, there are eight sarcoma related mailing lists.
This site is dedicated to bone cancer survivors (primarily sarcoma) by sharing survival stories to give readers hope, and by communicating through their ABC Café support forum.
The mission of the Sarcoma Alliance Peer-to-Peer Network is to facilitate positive relationships between individuals affected by sarcoma so that they may find emotional support, encouragement and information. The Peer-to-Peer Network consists of individuals affected by sarcoma – survivors, caregivers and loved ones – who wish to correspond with others in the sarcoma community. Sarcoma Alliance staff are available to help participants experience positive matches and to update their participation when needs evolve.
Chemo Angels is a volunteer organization dedicated to adding a ray of sunshine to the lives of those undergoing IV chemo treatment. We believe people going through the physical, emotional and mental rigors of chemotherapy deserve some encouragement. Many of our Chemo Angel volunteers are cancer survivors themselves, or people whose lives have been affected by cancer in some way. Our common denominator is a desire to brighten the lives of cancer patients while they are going through this challenging time.
Acute and Chronic stress is a reality for all who are facing sarcoma cancers. Distress is not an emotion to be avoided or denied, it is a messenger, a signal that our coping methods are not working.
