Rein in Sarcoma is looking for volunteers to help with our garage sale fundraiser which will help support our Patient and Family Support Committee! Our Patient and Family Support Committee provides support to sarcoma patients, their loved ones and those that have lost someone to sarcoma. We’re currently working on putting together tote bags full of useful and comforting gifts for patients in the hospital. Here are our current garage sale volunteer needs…
*Set up and labeling will happen from Saturday, September 10 through Wednesday September 14. Click here for specific dates, times and to sign up.
*On Wednesday, September 14 we will continue to set up in the morning and will have a pre-sale that afternoon after set up is complete. Pizza will be served to volunteers who help into the evening.
*The sale will be open to the public on Thursday, September 15 and Friday, September 16 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. We’ll need volunteers to assist shoppers, keep items organized and handle payment and bagging.
Volunteers are needed for three-hour shifts, or longer, if you’re available. Please consider signing up to help out this great cause!
Start saving items for the sale:
*We need lots of great items at this sale, so start collecting things now! We sell everything that is new or gently used including furniture, small kitchen appliances, clothing, books, toys and more. Items can be dropped off at the Wyckoff home after August 20th.
*We do not accept: computer monitors, televisions, large exercise equipment, weapons and ammunition, large appliances, mattresses, box springs, sleeper sofas, or water beds, baby furniture and equipment, carpeting and recalled items.
