Each September, we join with organizations and families across the country to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. For Rein in Sarcoma, this is especially meaningful, as sarcomas account for nearly 15% of all childhood cancers. Behind that number are young people whose lives are forever changed, children and teens navigating treatments, families adjusting to new realities, and survivors bravely charting their futures.

At RIS, we are committed to supporting these young patients and their families. Our Sarcoma Scholars Program is training the next generation of physicians and researchers to improve early diagnosis and advance new treatments. Our patient support programs provide peer to peer connection, financial assistance, support groups and more to families during some of the hardest days of their lives.

This month, I invite you to honor children and families impacted by sarcoma by helping raise awareness. Share what you know, talk about the signs and symptoms and stand with us as we work toward better outcomes and ultimately a cure. Thank you for being part of this mission. Together, we are making a difference.
