Making a Difference: Jake Martell Golf Tournament

This past August, the Martell family and friends came together for the annual Jake Martell Golf Tournament—an event created to honor Jake’s life and raise critical funds for Rein in Sarcoma. With every swing of the club, they weren’t just playing golf—they were fueling research, supporting patients, and giving hope to families who face sarcoma today.

What makes the Martell Tournament so powerful isn’t only the dollars raised. It’s the way one family decided to channel their love and grief into action. They turned Jake’s story into a force for good, proving that when families come together, they can make an extraordinary impact.

Hosting your own fundraiser for Rein in Sarcoma isn’t just about raising money—it’s about creating change. Whether it’s a golf tournament, a bake sale, a workplace challenge, or a school project, your efforts have the power to honor loved ones, inspire your community, and move us closer to ending sarcoma.

The Martells remind us that each fundraiser begins with a single idea—and grows into a legacy of hope. Could yours be next? Email Gena (gjohnson@reininsarcoma.org) if interested in setting up a fundraiser to benefit RIS.
